Initial notes and ideas - the basics
- Family of four
- Family wants a minimalist house with lots of natural light
- Dad is into gardening, carpentry, bonsai.
- Dad has a LOOOOTTTT of stuff a.k.a. trash @__@ Needs storage space (after the family throws out his trash)
- Dad would like a basement and/or carpentry area (same thing?)
- Mom is into paper crafts (envelopes, handmade cards and tags, etc.). Will need tabletop surface/workspace. Can share studio with daughter or have a space in home library.
- Mom wants a spacious kitchen
- Daughter is a graphic designer/illustrator also working with paper crafts.
- Daughter needs a studio with lots of surfaces/desk space to work on (cutting, binding, assembling, packaging merchandise for mailing) and STORAGE (for supplies and finished products/merchandise)
- Son doesn’t like anything in particular. He just wants his organ/piano and computer in his bedroom.
The whole family likes:
- Lots of natural light
- Daughter particularly likes the bright corridor (not a fan of narrow corridors but this is ok) and how you can see out the open front door even from the far end of the house
